Financing your purchase

When Purchasing a ’New Build’ property abroad, a reservation fee is usually payable on reservation, and depending on the developer would be typically between 3,000-5,000 Euros (Aprox £2-3,500).

A Deposit is then payable, usually within 30 days of reservation. This would be either 10%, 15%, 25%, 30% or sometimes 50% of the Purchase Price, depending on the developer. This deposit can be raised by in any way suitable. Often people choose to release some of the equity in their UK home, by way of a re-moirtgage to raise this deposit.

We can assist you in the process of re-mortgaging or taking out a loan if necessary, as we work in association with Independant Morgtgage Advisers both here in the UK and abroad.

Once the deposit is paid, staged payments are sometimes required throughout the build time or alternatively, the final payment is payable on completion. A Mortgage at competitive rates can be arranged either with ourselves, or often directly through the Developer, who can sometimes offer preferential rates to purchaers. Alternatively, these funds can be raised by way of re-mortgaging your UK home. We can assist you in whichever way you would like, by putting you in touch with our recommended Independant Financial Advisers, both here in the UK and overseas.

In the case of re-sale property (2nd hand), a deposit is usually payable on reservation, or very soon after, of at least 10% of the purchase price, to secure the sale, and the balance on completion, which can be arranged within 6-8 weeks.
