At the summit of the hill-top of Montlauzun, the prominent position of our cottage allows you to make the most of the exceptional views over two very peaceful valleys. The terrace area is furnished with outdoor table and chairs, parasol and a barbecue for al fresco mealtimes. An exterior staircase leads from the courtyard into a garden of flowerbeds and decorative paths. The private lawn area behind the house has a second furnished terrace beneath the Judas tree and spectacular views. The kitchen with breakfast area is fully equipped. The living/dining room has a working fireplace, TV, chess table, and a dining area. The Master Bedroom has a king-size bed (160cms) The second bedroom is a twin room and has double French windows opening directly onto the terrace. The cottage has full oil fired central heating.
Near to Montcuq there is a swimming lake with sandy beach. There are also good restaurants, cafs, swimming pool, tennis, cycling, horse riding, fishing, golf, markets, site seeing along the Lot river valley and of course wine tasting around the reputed Cahors vineyards. Day trips include St Cirq-Lapopie and the cave of Pech-Merle, Rocamadour, Cordes-sur-Ciel, The Gorges of Aveyron, the cloister at Moissac, the red brick towns of Montauban and Toulouse, the basilica of Albi.

RENTAL NOTES:

A 25% reservation fee is to be returned to the owner on booking along with the signed booking form and booking conditions.
The balance is payable eight weeks in advance of the arrival date.
We require a damages deposit of £100 for rentals of up to two weeks payable in cash or cheque on arrival in return for the keys.

Prices are all inclusive. We provide bed linen, bathroom towels, house linen and mats, cleaning products, household basics and breakfasting basics, wood for a first fire.
We can provide extra wood for a small supplement.
Cleaning is charged at the rate of 10 the hour if the house is not left as found.

Walking anywhere! Plenty of established walks through the rolling hills, along the ridges of the hilltops, on the GR65 walking paths of the pilgrim route of St Jacques of Compostella.
Swimming Lakes Montcuq and Montaigu-de-Quercy have sandy beaches and playgrounds.
Tennis. There are two new courts at Montcuq behind the
Municipal swimming pool.
Riding - at the equestrian centre of Lauzerte for all ages and capacities.
Golf de Roucous, Sauveterre. A 9-hole course winding through a wooded valley with water hazards, suitable for players of all standards. Also on site, tennis, swimming pool and club house.
Lavender Distillery, Belmontet. The traditional essential oil of the Quercy.

Rent a donkey at Cazillac to carry the children on a walk through the Quercy countryside.
Petit Paris at Montauban is a scaled down version of the capital.
