Each gite is filled with charm, original features, yet all mod-cons, including washing machine, English satellite TV. Games room,local equestrian centre nearby. Our 13m heated, saltwater pool is open from Easter to end September. Approx an hour from Limoges, Poitiers & La Rochelle Airports, and about an hour to Cognac, Angouleme & Niort. Lovely traditional Market towns of Chef-Boutonne, Sauze-Vaussais & Melle nearby, and Futuroscope just over an hour away.

Local Information from this Villa Owner
The Pays Mellois is steeped in history, from the Charroux monastery ruins, to the Oradour WW2 memorial village. Many of the local Market towns have festivals and fete days. We are able to organise hayrides (with a local farmer) around the beautiful lanes surrounding Courtanne, or for a high tech experience, FUTUROSCOPE is approx 1hr away. The stunning beaches and seafood restaurants around La Rochelle is about an hours drive, as is Cognac, and the beautiful Marais Poitevin. Courtanne-Gites is the perfect central location for either a packed holiday exploring the treasures of the region, or a chill-out break in the tranquility of Frances unspoilt Sunflower region, the "Coeur du Poitou".
