Casa Lucchese is a spacious Sicilian farmhouse located in a beautiful, breathtaking, rural location, approx 3 miles out of town and 6 miles from the best sandy beaches. Access is along scenic private driveway less than 1 mile long - worth every moment! The property covers some 10 acres and is surrounded by hectares of olive groves with sweeping views of the Sicilian hinterland. As far as the eye can see, there are gently rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive groves.The area is extremely quiet and peaceful with stunning views of countryside, remote enough that you rarely hear any noise but the sounds of birds singing. There are excellent walking opportunities in the hilly countryside (there are almost no fences here and the farmers encourage you to go where you like). Casa Lucchese is perfectly situated for those in search of peace and quiet, views and a full immersion in the Sicilian countryside.
The country house (240 sq.mt on two stories) can sleep 10 people and has an infant cot available. Casa Lucchese is ideal for large groups.
On the ground floor the main entrance of the house takes you directly into the open-plan living/dining area with stone fireplace.The views from the house are absolutely stunning, with all the windows framing a picture of the lovely Sicilian countryside at its best.The spacious interiors have been restored to a very high standard, in an authentic country style and tastefully decorated with an interesting mix of furnishings and antiques. One double bedroom downstairs, a lobby leads to a bathroom with shower, behind a glass door a fully equipped kitchen stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, coffee-pot, food processor, dishes, etc. The property is fully equipped for comfortable self catering, the appliances are new. An excellent caliber of housekeeping (including linen, towels and blankets) is provided. Satellite television, radio/cassette and cd player are provided. washing machine (clothes are line dried, of course) and ironing board. The downstairs area opens into the furnished terrace with stunning view over the small medieval Baglio di Lucchese.

The upstairs is under a sloping roof with exposed beams and floor boards. A flight of steps takes you on to a large landing with hand-crafted wrought wood balustrade and 3 double bedrooms with beautiful view over the valley below. A small lobby leads you to the bathroom (with tub). Its position renders air conditioning superfluous as the heat is very rarely uncomfortable. The property has free-standing fans. Single beds can be added to the double and twin bedrooms.The furniture is very comfortable and in keeping with the rustic character of the original farmhouse. A lot of light comes in through the windows.
